Telephone Befriending Service

The Active Wellbeing Society have developed a range of services that support vulnerable and isolated patients including a telephone befriending service.

We recognise how important it is that patients who are most vulnerable feel connected and able to access support. This could include older patients, carers, new mums, patients with long term health conditions or those who would simply benefit from a friendly chat.

Being isolated at home or having little social contact can be frustrating and lonely, but it is important that we all take these steps at this time. If a patient is feeling worried or lonely, our befriending service provides comfort and reassurance over the phone.

So whether they are just in need of a friendly chat, require advice on practical support or a referral to another agency, our team are on standby to provide this support.
